- sodocalcic glass or soft glass with a wide range of colour. Its melting point is low (around 550 to 600 degrees Celsius). I use Murano glass mainly but also sometimes glass from the Czech Republic, Germany, USA or China depending on the characteristics (colors, effects) that I am looking for.
- borosilicate glass (commonly called Pyrex), much more resistant than the previous one, the choice of colors is more limited but it is easier to work because of its high resistance to thermal shocks.
