There are mainly two types of glass:
- soda-lime glass or soft glass with a very wide range of colors. Its melting point is low (around 550 to 600 ° C.). I use Murano glass mainly but also sometimes glass from the Czech Republic, Germany, the United States or China according to the characteristics (colors, effects) that I seek.
- borosilicate glass (commonly known as Pyrex), much more resistant than the previous one, the choice of colors is much more limited but it is easier to work because of its high resistance to thermal shocks.
